Colophon

This page was inspired by the Colophon found at Leo Laporte’s website. 

The site is written in XHTML Strict with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and delivered using the open source blogging software WordPress.  The theme is a derivative of the Blue Sky Beach Theme.  The site is hosted and maintained by JS.  

I have customized the WordPress instalation with the following plugins:

  • Akismet:  This plugin will check comments to determine if they are spam.  The items classified as spam can be reviewed under the “Comments” section in the admin function. By Matt Mullenweg.
  • WordPress Database Backup:  Backup on demand or schedule periodic backups that can be emailed to you. By Scott Merrill

According to the Modern Language Association as interpreted by Dictionary.com http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/Colophon a Colophon is an inscription, monogram, or cipher, containing the place and date of publication, printer’s name, etc., formerly placed on the last page of a book. 

Wikipedia describes Colophon web use as containing (X)HTML, CSS, or usability standards compliance information and links to Web site validation tests.
